Fungicidal treatment of crops and fruit trees is the most important stage of rational farming. Fungal colonies multiply rapidly, adversely affect plant development and cause crop loss. The popular remedy "Skor" and the drug "Horus" are widely used in agriculture and private household plots. The effectiveness of fungicides poses a choice for farmers, but the preparations have their own characteristics and conditions of use.

Comparison of Horus and Skor preparations

Fungicides "Skor" and "Horus" have a therapeutic effect of a systemic nature, protect plantings from mycoses, creating a persistent protective barrier. The composition of drugs includes substances from different chemical groups, which causes differences in the mechanism of action on fungal agents.

The funds have a similar application, showing activity against the causative agents of the following diseases:

  • powdery mildew;
  • scab;
  • alternaria;
  • fruit rot;
  • clasterosporium disease;
  • coccomycosis.

"Horus" has a weaker effect on the causative agent of powdery mildew, but is effective in the fight against scab, moniliosis and monilial burns. It has a good effect in the early stages of infection.

"Skor" has a directed activity against powdery mildew, scab, spotting and pronounced prophylactic properties. The drug stimulates the growth of foliage and shoots, accelerating the growth of green mass. The tool is also used for pre-planting seed treatment.

Both formulations are intended for spraying on the following trees and shrubs:

  • Apple tree;
  • pear;
  • cherry, sweet cherry;
  • plum, cherry plum;
  • peach, apricot;
  • grapes;
  • currant;
  • gooseberry.

The preparations also have significant differences that must be taken into account when choosing a treatment agent.

Which one is better to choose?

Horus can be used in early spring when the air temperature is from +3 ° C to +10 ° C. Early treatment at the green cone stage prevents primary contamination. The preparation provides protection even before the beginning of the flowering period.

"Speed" starts to work at higher temperatures - from +12 ° С. The fungicide is suitable for spraying plants at the budding stage. The peak of the result is observed in warm and humid weather, when the risk of mycoses increases.

With repeated use of the drug "Skor" there is a risk of formation of resistance of pathogenic fungal to difenoconazole. "Horus" copes with pathogens resistant to the action of substances of the triazole class.

The optimal solution is the alternation of fungicides, two-stage treatment of fruit trees and shrubs at an early stage with the "Horus" agent, and during budding - with the "Skor" preparation.
