Any gardener who grows vegetables in a greenhouse has to deal with plant pests. For this, insecticidal preparations are used. Consider the composition and form of release of the Clipper insecticide, the principle of its operation, purpose and use according to the instructions. Safety measures, compatibility with pesticides, terms and conditions of storage, similar preparations.
Composition and form of release of insecticide
The manufacturer of Clipper, CJSC FMRus, produces the drug in the form of a concentrated emulsion with the active substance bifenthrin in a volume of 100 g per 1 liter. It belongs to the class of pyrethroids. Clipper has an intestinal and contact effect on pests. Liquid is produced in cans of 5 liters.
How the tool works
Bifenthrin paralyzes insects, entering their body through the integument when the solution comes into contact with them or through the stomach. The advantage of the drug is that it acts not only on larvae and adult insects, but also on eggs. It also works as a repellent.
What are they used for?
Clipper is used in agriculture for processing tomatoes and cucumbers growing in greenhouses. Destroys whitefly, spider mites and aphids. Also used on apple, cotton and grapes from ticks, cereals - from ground beetle and turtle bug. Able to protect plants for 2-3 weeks. The effect of the drug begins to manifest itself already after 3-4 hours, the maximum effectiveness can be observed after 2-3 days.
Instructions for use
Greenhouse tomatoes and cucumbers are processed during the growing season. "Clipper" dosage rates according to the manufacturer's instructions (in liters per hectare):
- from whitefly - 1.2-2.4;
- from ticks - 0.6-1.2;
- from aphids - 0.4-0.8.
Since the insecticide is capable of destroying insect eggs, only 1 treatment can be carried out to kill the entire population. Spraying liquid consumption - 1000-3000 liters per hectare. Clipper has a short waiting period - 3 days for tomatoes and 5 days for cucumbers. People are allowed to leave for work after 3 days.
Safety precautions when working with the drug
"Clipper" insecticide belongs to the agents with the 2nd class of toxicity. It is toxic to bees - class 1. It cannot be used during the mass summer of these insects. For fish and aquatic organisms, it is also toxic, so its use is prohibited in areas that are located near water bodies and fish farms. Does not bind in soil and does not enter groundwater.
Those who work with emulsion and solution should wear tight clothing to cover all exposed parts of the body. A prerequisite is a respirator and plastic goggles to prevent splashes from entering the respiratory tract and eyes.

You cannot take them off while you are working with the product. After finishing work, wash your face and hands. If the solution gets into the eyes or on the skin, be sure to rinse them with a large volume of water.
If the solution gets inside, you must rinse your stomach yourself: drink a few tablets of medical charcoal and wash them down with 1 liter of water. After 15 minutes, you need to induce vomiting. If symptoms of severe poisoning appear, you need to seek medical help.
Clipper compatibility with other substances
This insecticide can be mixed for joint treatment of plants with most preparations with insecticidal and fungicidal action, which have a neutral reaction.
If you need to mix Clipper with a drug, the general compatibility with which is unknown, you need to conduct a test: combine a number of drugs in one container and check the resulting reaction.
If a violent reaction does not occur, there is no noticeable increase in the temperature of the solution, color change, precipitation, then you can mix them. If an undesirable reaction of substances appears, do not mix the preparations, such a solution will not only not benefit the plants, but can also be harmful.
Terms and conditions of storage
Clipper can be stored in warehouses at low humidity and light conditions, temperatures from -12 ° C to +35 ° C. Store the liquid only in original canisters with tightly closed lids. Do not place near food, medicine, pet food. Do not allow the product to come into contact with children and animals. Any agrochemical pesticides and fertilizers can be saved with the insecticide.
After the expiration of the shelf life, the Clipper insecticide must be replaced with a new one; the prepared solution must be stored for no more than 1 day. In order not to waste the drug, it is necessary to prepare the solution only in the volume that is necessary for work within 1 day.
Analogs of the remedy
In agriculture, several drugs are used with the same active substance as Clipper: Zernospas, Semaphore, Vulkan, Pirinex Super, Talstar, Prokrop, Imidalit. Not used in private households.
"Clipper" manufactured by "FMRus" is an effective insecticide against common pests of tomatoes and cucumbers. Destroys insects in all types of development after a single treatment. It begins to act quickly, the duration of the protective effect is standard for insecticidal preparations.
The advantages of the drug are a small application rate, low toxicity for humans, a short waiting time, which is why, after its application in greenhouses, it is possible to harvest the crop within 3-5 days after processing. This is especially important for those who grow cucumbers, from which you need to collect fruits almost every day. It is not recommended to use the Clipper in greenhouses where bees are used for pollination, as it is toxic to these insects. The insecticide combines well with other pesticides, the use of a joint solution increases the effect, reduces the processing time, and reduces the cost of plant care.
